これがテクノビームと呼ばれる木+鉄の梁です。
このテクノビームが１階の天井部分、２階の天井部分の梁となります。
テクノビームに対して寄せられる質問で多いのが、
「鉄を使っていて、錆びませんか？」という質問です。
テクノビームの防錆処理には溶融亜鉛めっき処理を施しています。
分かりづらいですね！ビームの全体を亜鉛でコーティングしていて、
万一傷がついても、鉄よりも先に反応する亜鉛が傷に膜をはって、
鉄が腐食されないんです。だから、錆びることがないんですよ！

柱はこちら！3.5寸の集成材を使っています。
集成材というのは、木の節や割れをできるだけ取り除き、
木と木を特殊な接着剤で接着して柱にしているものです。
無垢（ムク）材を使うと、割れやその強度にバラツキがあります。
集成材なら、その強度を一定に保つことができますし、
なにしろ、無垢材と比較しても1.5倍の強度のある柱になるんです！

邪魔にならないよう、下の区画からクレーンで柱とビームを持ち上げて
数人の大工さんが手際よく組み上げて行きます。

角の柱が長い金物と接合しているのが見えます。
この金物は『ホールダウン金物』と言って、柱を補強する大切な金物です。
地震で倒壊する建物というのは、最終的にこのホールダウン金物が抜けて
倒壊してしまいます。
ミスミハウスのテクノストラクチャー工法では、建物の強度を
細かく計算してホールダウン金物を取り付けるので、
通常の木造住宅よりホールダウン金物の数は多くなるんです。

朝、若干の雨が降りましたが、なんとか天候も回復して来ました。
建て方工事のスタートです。前回までに組み上げた土台に、
それぞれ柱を建てて、『テクノビーム』をかけて行きます。
テクノストラクチャー工法の一番の特徴であるテクノビームは、
通常の木造住宅では〝梁（はり）〟と呼ばれる部分に
木+鉄を使った特別な部材を使用しているんです。
