単層フローリングと複層フローリング

一般的にフローリングは大きく分けて２種類あります。
「単層」と「複層」のフローリングです。
「単層フローリング」というのはいわゆる無垢のフローリングです。
フローリング材が１枚の板で出来ています。
単層フローリングの方が比較的高価な場合がほとんどです。
単層の良いところというのは、なんといってもその”素材感”です。
木の匂い、足ざわり、温かみというのは複合フローリングでは表現できないところです。
予算が許すならぜひ、単層フローリングも検討していただきたいですね。

今回は戸建ての中でも採用率が非常に高い「複層フローリング」について
ご紹介していきたいと思います。

複層フローリングというのは、画像のように
板を合わせた合板を基材として、
その上に薄い化粧板を貼り合わせて、１枚の板にします。
化粧板は木を薄くスライスした無垢の場合もあれば、
木目をプリントしたシートのものもあります。

複層フローリングの良さとはどういうものかというと、
単層と比べて品質のバラつきが少ないことがあげられます。
単層は１枚の板ですので、ねじれや反りなどの変形が起こりますが、
複層フローリングはその変化が極めて少なくなります。
また、単層と比べてメンテナンスも容易ですし、
表面を加工できるため、抗菌や抗ウィルスといった
商品を選択することもできます。

合板の上の化粧板を、天然木を薄くスライスして貼り付けたものが
『突き板仕上げフローリング』といいます。
突き板仕上げの良さは、薄いとはいえ天然木の化粧板を貼ってますので、
無垢材と変わらない木目の美しさがありながら、
無垢材の弱点である、ゆがみや反りが少なく、
また価格面でも抑えられるという点があげられます。
